About BHA Travel Hockey Programs

Overseen by BHA Travel Director Matt Gadlage, BHA travel teams are governed by the BHA philosophy that, to be successful, teams must excel at providing the highest quality player development on and off the ice.
BHA offers travel programs at all age levels. Birmingham travel hockey is in District 4. See MAHA district 4 list of communities here.
Out of District Rules starting Spring 2026
10U, 12U, and 14U: No more than 50% of out-of-district players. If your registered USA Hockey address is within the Birmingham School District (as can be attested by a tax bill or statement), you are considered IN DISTRICT. For example, if your home address is in Troy but your kids would attend a Birmingham school per your address, but not a school of choice, you are not counted as out of district. You may be required to share proof. Maximum of 3 Out-of-State players (bordering states of Ohio, Wisconsin, and Indiana only).
16U & 18U: No restrictions for out-of-district players. Maximum of 3 Out-of-State players (bordering states of Ohio, Wisconsin, and Indiana only).

Fall Travel 2026-27 Season

$195 Association Fee for 2026-27 Fall Season
Players should register using the team specific link provided by their team manager or head coach.
Useful tips
Please fill out the players' information EXACTLY like the USA Hockey registration (no nicknames! and double check the spelling for the last and first names and verify the date of birth).

If you have just registered and paid, please allow at least 15 minutes. If the system still does not recognize the confirmation number, please wait until the next business day before retrying.
