The Birmingham Hockey Association is excited to announce the formation of the 2009 Birmingham Rangers Mite A Fall team.
Head Coach Rob Blum played over 15 years of high level travel/high school hockey playing experience, along with 5 years of youth hockey coaching experience.
He currently coaches the MHRE Kings 2006 Elite AAA tournament team, with kids from various top level Tier 1 and Tier 2 programs. The team went undefeated this Spring and won the King of the Spring Elite Superseries tournament in Chicago.
Prior to this Spring, he coached the Saint Clair Shores Saints 2006 Travel program. for the last three season, and that team won our regional SilverSticks. And he was the assistant coach on the 18u Saint Clair Shores Saints team that won Nationals last year.
He also coached L'Anse Creuse High School at both the Varsity and JV level.

07 BIRMINGHAM RANGERS - FALL TRYOUTS
The 07 Birmingham Rangers are excited to announce tryouts for the Fall team will take place on Thursday, May 26th from 5-6:20pm at Wallace Ice Arena at Cranbrook. A second tryout will be held at a location and time TBD.
The Rangers are looking to add skilled hockey players at all positions to play on a competitive team in the Little Caesars league this Fall.
Coach Bill Christie played collegiately at Miami of Ohio, and brings over 20 years experience coaching youth hockey, including players like Patrick Brown of the Carolina Hurricanes, Jake Chelios of the Charlotte AHL team, and Adam Chapie who just signed with the New York Rangers. Coach Christie is excited to see your hockey player at the Rangers' Fall tryout on May 26th at 5pm at Cranbrook.
Tryout cost is $15 if you pre-register online, or $20 if you register at the door. Goalies are free.

Registration is now open for the Birmingham Unified Summer Hockey Camps! As last year, we will be holding two summer camps: BU Summer Camp for players entering grades 9-12 for the 2016-17 school year, and BU Future Kings Camp for players entering grades 6-8. The Meijer State Games of Michigan is a non-profit, Olympic style event with over 50 sports and events offered to some 7500 total participants. Our Hockey tournaments consist of 12U Boys, 14U Boys, 16U Boys, 19U Women and High School Divisions (MAHA Sanction #: MIT1615016456).
Eight, tryout chosen, geographically based teams in each division will come together June 23-26 in the Metro Grand Rapids area to compete for Gold, Silver and Bronze medals.
Each team will play a minimum of four (4) games beginning Thursday evening, with one game Thursday, one game Friday (plus State Games Opening Ceremonies Friday evening), two games Saturday, concluding with the medal games on Sunday. All players are asked to attend the State Games of Michigan Opening Ceremonies at Fifth Third Ballpark on Friday evening, and walk in the Parade of Athletes.
All games are played to a conclusion with a guaranteed winner through an overtime formula. There are NO ties. The top two teams in each division make the semi-finals to determine who will play for the Gold Medal, however, all semi-finalists are guaranteed to play on Sunday for a medal.
All Michigan Residents (USA Hockey Registered) and/or MAHA registered players who played on a C, B, A, or AA team during the 2015-2016 season are eligible to tryout for the team that will represent their geographical area. Anyone who played AAA(Tier I) during the 2015-16 winter season in NOT eligible to try out for this tournament.
